Preventive HVAC Maintenance Yields Optimal System Efficiency

Regular preventive maintenance offers multiple advantages for your HVAC equipment. One of the most valuable is the daily boost it provides to your system’s energy efficiency. Why is this so valuable? Because this boost in efficiency equates to lower utility bills, which add up to increased savings over time.

Without routine maintenance, your system’s efficiency will suffer, gradually worsening and leading to higher utility bills. Regular HVAC maintenance also helps you save by avoiding unnecessary repair bills and a shorter life span.

Regular Maintenance Services Offer Additional Advantages

Here are some of the benefits you will receive when you sign up for our Melton Comfort Club Agreement:

  • Priority customer status
  • 15 percent discount on repair service (excludes diagnostic fee)
  • No overtime charge
  • Improved efficiency
  • Improved safety
  • Extended equipment life
  • Improved capacity
  • Inflation protection
  • Agreement is transferrable

Our Preventive Maintenance Service Agreements

  • Inspect primary and secondary drains
  • Clean and test condensate drain
  • Inspect blower components; clean and/or adjust as necessary
  • Inspect condenser coil; clean as necessary, water clean only
  • Lubricate all moving parts (where applicable)
  • Inspect and tighten all loose electrical connections
  • Monitor air conditioner operating pressures for proper refrigerant charge
  • Monitor voltage and amperage draw on all motors
  • Monitor air conditioning and heating cycles
  • Inspect heat exchanger and burners; vacuum and/or adjust as necessary
  • Adjust gas pressure as necessary
  • Inspect pilot operation; adjust as necessary
  • Combustion analysis of flue gases
  • Inspect and test safety controls
  • Monitor airflow for proper settings

As an HVAC system owner, the TLC you give your system should start with regular filter changes, visual inspections of the equipment and keeping the area around the unit(s) free of debris. Following that up with regular professional tune-ups from Melton Heating and Air Conditioning should help keep your system running for years to come.
